Friends of Irene Ehret, 97, of
Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of of RR 3
in LaGrange, may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at
Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home, where the service will be
held at 10 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Daniel Engber of Zion Lutheran
Church of Bristol will officiate. A graveside service will be at
11:L30 a.m. Monday at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange. She died at
11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, 1996, in the nursing center.
Mrs. Ehret was born on Aug. 29, 1899, in
Madison Township, St. Joseph County IN.
As Irene Schalliol, she married John
R. Ehret on April 19, 1920 in Elkhart. He died May 6, 1953.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clement (Joy) Brineman
of Springfield, Va., and Mrs. Don (Joyce) Stahl of
Elkhart; a son Carl R. of Tampa, Fla.; 19 grandchildren; 38
great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister,
Mrs. Herbert (Dora) Fredericks of Wakarusa. Three sons,
Stanley D., Lowell K. and Virgil Bud, three sisters
and four brothers are deceased,
Mrs. Ehret was a homemaker and a member of
Zion Lutheran Church, Bloomfield Township Home Economics Club and
War Mothers. Memorials may be given to the church or to the donors
choice.
