Joseph Egyed

August 18, 1908 – September 26, 1976

Word has been received here of the death of Joseph Egyed, 68, of Port Charlotte FL, formerly of South Bend, in the Port Charlotte Hospital Sunday after an extended illness.  Egyed was a construction worked.  Born on August 18, 1908, in South Bend, he moved to Alaska in 1936 and then to Florida eight years ago.  Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Julius Odusch of Port Charlotte and Mrs. Velma Lamb of South Bend; and a brother, Julius of Warren MI.

Private services and cremation were in Port Charlotte.  Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.  Egyed was WW II Army veteran and a member of Post 110 American Legion of Port Charlotte.
