Ermalinda K. Eberlein, 90, of Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10, in Countryside Place, Mishawaka.
Ermalinda was born on May 15, 1912, in Mishawaka, to the late George and Florence (Waletzko) Eberlein. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Florence Rospopo; and by four brothers, Robert, Sylvester, Bernard and Rupert Eberlein.
She is survived by a brother, Lawrence (Mickey) Eberlein of McAllen, Texas; and by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Ermalinda retired in 1974 from Saint Joseph Hospital in Mishawaka where she was a cook for 44 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Mishawaka, where she belonged to the Rosary Society, was a lector, and was a Eucharistic minister. She belonged to Harvest House, the Children of Mary Sodality Seniors, the Daughters of Isabella Secular Franciscan Order, and the St. Monica Senior Citizens Club.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 12, in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, Mishawaka, where a Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, in St. Joseph Church, with Fr. Robert A. Yast officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church or to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
