Mahlon G. Eberhart, 83, formerly of 2201 Lincoln Way East, Mishawaka, died at 1:35 p.m. Monday at Fountainview Place, Mishawaka after an extended illness. He was a resident of the nursing home for one year.
He was born Oct. 18, 1901 in Bellefonte, Pa. He married Grace K. Heilhecker on June 11, 1924 in Williamsport, Pa. She survives with a daughter, Mrs. Janice Spirito, Elkhart; two sons, M. Gilbert, Mishawaka, and Wayne C. Bremen; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
There will be no visitation prior to Memorial services at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Bubb Funeral Chapel, Mishawaka. The Rev. Stephen Swenson, pastor of the First English Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mishawaka, will officiate. The body will be cremated. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
Mr. Eberhart retired from Uniroyal Corp. in 1962 after 43 years service and was superintendent of the Fuel Cell Division when he retired.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Disease and Related Diseases Association, or the St. Joseph County Heart Association.
