George F. Eberhart, sr., aged 67, a lifelong resident of
this community, died at 10:30 o'clock Sunday morning in his home,
1322 East Jefferson boulevard. He had been ill since he suffered
a paralytic stroke seven weeks ago.
Mr. Eberhart was born Nov. 6, 1868, in the house in which he
died. He was married 40 years ago to Olga Burgess, who
survives. Until his retirement several years ago he was a real
estate dealer. He was a founder of Fairview Cemetery association
and at the time of his death was serving as a director of the
association.
Surviving are two sons, George F. Eberhart, jr., of Mishawaka,
and Russell J. Eberhart, of Buffalo, N.Y.; a sister, Mrs. Sabra Cook,
of Minneapolis, Minn., and four grandchildren.
The body may be viewed in the Sprague chapel from tonight until 1
o'clock Tuesday afternoon, when it will be taken to the
residence. There it may be viewed until the funeral at 2:30
o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Rev. J. A. Barnett, D. D., pastor of
First Presbyterian church, will conduct services and burial will
be in Fairview cemetery.

Pallbearers were named today for George F. Eberhart, sr., aged
67, of 1322 East Jefferson boulevard. They are Loren S. Crull,
William H. Rosewarne, Fred Martin, Robert McKnight,
Paul S. Fuson and Henry C. Eggleston.
Rev. J. A. Burnett, D. D., pastor of First Presbyterian church,
will conduct services at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the
residence. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery. The body may be
viewed in the residence.
