James W. Ealy Sr.

MISHAWAKA – James W. Ealy Sr., 59, of South West Street, died at 4:10 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph Medical Center after an illness. He was plant manager of operations for RACO Inc. of South Bend, where he had been employed for 37 years before retiring. He was born Aug. 8, 1931 in Lebanon, Pa., and lived in Mishawaka since 1947 coming from Pennsylvania.

On Oct. 25, 1952 in Mishawaka, he married Mary Amaral. She survives with a daughter, Linda Guy of Mishawaka; a son, James W. Jr. of Mishawaka; and two grandchildren. He was a member of American Legion Post 161 and charter member of the Notre Dame Quarterback Club.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hahn-DeVos Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to National Kidney Foundation.
