Mrs. Sophie Dworecki

December 22, 1889 – September 14, 1960

Mrs. Sophie Dworecki, 1221 Elmer St., died at 3:30am today in St Joseph’s Hospital after a two-week illness.

Born in Kingston NY, on December 33, 1889, Mrs Dworecki came to South Bend 38 years ago from New York.  Her husband, Stanley, died in October 1956.  Surviving are two brothers, Joseph and Andrew Zakrzewski, and a sister, Mrs. Kathryn Cwiklinski, all of South Bend.

Friends may call after 7pm Thursday in the Kaniewski & Son Funeral Home.  Services will be at 9am Saturday in St Stanislaus Catholic Church with Rev. Sigmund A. Jankowski, CSC, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery.  Mrs. Dworecki was a member of the Good Will Club and the Rosary Society of St Stanislaus and Daughters of Poland, Group 21, Polish Women’s Alliance
