Keith W. Dutcher, 75, of York Road,
South Bend, Ind., passed away of natural causes early Tuesday
morning, Jan. 26, at his residence. Mr. Dutcher was born on Feb.
26, 1923, in Tyner, Ind., and had lived in the South Bend area
since 1963, coming from Walkerton, Ind. He retired in 1988 from
Gates Town and Country Chevrolet where he worked for 30 years. He
also served in the United States Air Force in World War II. Mr.
Dutcher was a member of the Cathedral of St. James Episcopal
Church and B.P.O. Elks Lodge #235.
On June 28, 1968, Mr. Dutcher married Joan Jackson,
who survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Carol Lee Clark
of LaPorte, Ind., and Pamela Jane Kaiser of Walkerton; a
son, David K. Dutcher of LaPorte; nine grandchildren and one
great-grandchild; and by a sister, Ruth Myers of Seattle, Wash.
Services for Mr. Dutcher will be held at 11
a.m. on Friday, Jan. 29, in the Cathedral of St. James, with the
Rev. Frederick Mann officiating. Burial will take place in
Southlawn Cemetery following service at the church. Memorial
contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice. The
Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 William Street, is in charge of
arrangements.
