Helen D. Dunn

October 11, 1897 – May 11, 1978

Helen D. Dunn, 80, formerly of 2108 N. Chestnut, died at 1:15am today in the Cardinal Nursing Home, South Bend, where she was a resident three years. 

She was born in Webster County KY on October 11, 1897 and moved to the Mishawaka area 50 years ago.  She was married in 1918 as Helen D. Williams to Gordon C. Turley, who died in 1932.

In 1944 she married Percy Dunn who died in 1957.  Surviving are a son, Lafayette Turley of Mishawaka; seven grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Albert Hardin of Evansville and Mrs. Edward Carlisle of Louisville KY

Friends may call in the Bubb Funeral Chapel from 7 to 9pm today.  Visitation will be from 5 to 9pm Friday at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home in Madisonville KY; where services will be at 1pm Saturday.  Burial will be in Slaughters (KY) Cemetery.  Mrs. Dunn was a member of Mishawaka’s First Baptist Church and of the Slaughters Baptist Church Missionary Society.
