Josephine ''Josie'' Dudeck, 88, of
57100 S. Shore Avenue, Osceola, Ind., died following an extended
illness at 11:30 p.m. (Indiana time) on Sunday, July 27, at the
Grants Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Mrs. Dudeck was born on Nov.
11, 1908, in New Bury Port, Mass., and had been a lifelong area
resident.
On Aug. 4, 1930, as Josephine Bogenski,
she married George J. Dudeck in Mishawaka, Ind. He preceded her
in death in 1967. She was also preceded in death by a son,
Lawrence L. Dudeck in 1989. She is survived by three
daughters, Virginia Zhiss of South Bend, Ind., Evelyn Pellum
of Columbus, Ohio, and Ruth Ebright of Mishawaka; two
sons, George E.W. Dudeck and John D.P. Dudeck, both of Osceola;
13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and by two sisters,
Mary Peterson of LaPorte, Ind., and Rose Clark of Port
Charlotte, Fla. Mrs. Dudeck was employed by School City of
Mishawaka as a custodian.
Friends may call at the Warner Funeral Home,
1109 Lincolnway West, Osceola, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today,
where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday. Her grandson,
Rev. William Pellum, will officiate. Burial will take place at
Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
