Francis M. Dubie, 70, of South Main Street,
Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 9 p.m. on
Wed-nesday, Dec. 15, in his home. Mr. Dubie was born on Aug. 28,
1929, in South Bend, Ind., as the son of the late Stephen and
Helen (Atkinson) Dubie. He was also preceded in death by
two brothers, Edward Dubie and Donald Dubie.
On Nov. 18, 1977, in St. Andrews United
Church of Christ, Mishawaka, he married the former Mary Jo Boughton.
Mr. Dubie is survived by his wife, Mary Jo of 22 years; a
daughter, Melissa (Greg) Seanor of Osceola, Ind.; two
sons, Michael (Beverly) Walker of Osceola and Robert
(Maria) Walker of South Bend; six grandsons, Gregory Seanor,
Michael Walker, Robby Walker, Joshua Seanor, Eric Walker and
Zachary Walker; two granddaughters, Brooke Seanor and Rachel
Walker; two brothers, Charles Dubie of South Bend and Stephen
Dubie of Oregon; and by one stepsister, Violet Overton of
Sellersburg, Ind.
Mr. Dubie was employed by S&H Carbonic
for many years before retiring in 1994. He was a staff sergeant
in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Korean Conflict and was also a
member of the Granger Missionary Church, Granger, Ind.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
today, Dec. 17, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street,
Mishawaka. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec.
18, in the Granger Missionary Church, Granger, with Rev. Bob
Renner officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery,
Mishawaka. Contributions in memory of Mr. Dubie may be made to
