Haviland Dreibelbis, 92, of West
Packard Avenue, South Bend, Ind., died at 4:56 p.m. on Sunday,
Aug. 6, in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, South Bend.
She was born on Dec. 9, 1907, in Racine, Wis., to the late
William and Cora (Carpenter) Goff.
On Jan. 31, 1924, as Haviland Goff, she
married Perle Flory. Then, in 1945, she married George
Dewey Dreibelbis, who died in 1972. She was also preceded in
death by a grandchild, Haviland Tsilis; and by a
great-grandchild. She had lived here since 1923, coming from
Watervliet, Mich. Mrs. Dreibelbis retired in 1966 from Trigon
Machine. She is survived by a daughter, Lorraine E. Gleva
of South Bend; a son, James (Phyllis) Flory of Panama City, Fla.;
11 grandchildren, Karen Moore of Crete, Ill., Jim Flory of
Momence, Ill., John Flory of Sauk Village, Ill., Kim Hale
of Crete, Ill., Bill Gleva, John Gleva, Robert Gleva and Sandra Edwards,
all of South Bend, Kim Dreibelbis, Denny Dreibelbis and Penny Lukenbill,
all of Plymouth, Ind.; 33 great-grandchildren and 22
great-great-grandchildren; and by two sisters, Violet Parmely
of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Evelyn Felton of Gary, Ind.
Family and friends called from 2 to 4 and 6
to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 8, in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824
S. Mayflower Road. Services will be at 11 a.m. today, Aug. 9, in
the funeral home, with burial to follow at Westlawn Cemetery,
North Liberty, Ind.
