SOUTH BEND - Fannie W. Dozier, 78, of
Macon, Ga., and formerly of South Bend, died at 11:30 a.m. on
Feb. 11 in Macon, Ga. Mrs. Dozier was born Nov. 6, 1915, in
Monroe County, Ga., moved to South Bend in 1951 and resided most
of her life in this area.
As Fannie W. Williams, she married
E.L. Dozier. He preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter,
Maudessa Moore of Macon; four sons, Tommie L., Alex,
Alfred and Kenneth, all of South Bend; a stepson, Willie Dozier
of South Bend; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three
step-grandchildren; two sisters, Claudia Williams and
Faith Evans, both of South Bend; and two brothers, Robert
Williams of Macon and Amos Williams of South Bend. She was a
member of Job Chapel AME Church in Macon and a former member of
the Laymen Chapel CME Church in South Bend.
Services were conducted Tuesday in the Job
Chapel AME Church in Macon. Burial was in Job Chapel Cemetery.
Bentley & Sons Funeral Home, Macon, was in charge of
arrangements. Alford's Mortuary was in charge of local
arrangements.
