Mr. Estel Dotson, 89, of South Bend, passed away at 1 p.m., Friday, at Northwood Nursing Home.

He was born on Dec. 20, 1906, in Floyd County, Ky., and had been in South bend since 1973, moving from Ohio. On April 23, 1929, in Knox, Ind., he married the former Maude Stephens, who survives.

Also surviving are four sisters, Dorothy Hites of Marylsville, Ohio, Eunice Prater of Waynesfield, Ohio, Hattie Mae Ewing of Alger, Ohio and Berta Agler of Alger, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10, at the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan St., South Bend. Burial will be in Sumption Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call Monday, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Mr. Dotson was a retired farmer and carpenter. He was also involved with the Church of God ''Cleveland Tennessee.''
