Sister M. Rita Jane CSC, 83, died Monday in St. Mary’s Convent after a lengthy illness. She was born Alma Margart Dosch on Sept. 18, 1897, in Washington, Ind., and entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, Saint Mary’s College, on Jan 1, 1923. She was received as a novice on Aug. 15, 1923 and made her professional vows on Aug. 15, 1925. Throughout her community life she was assigned to teaching in Illinois, Idaho, California, Utah, Baltimore, Md., and Anderson, Ind. She resided at St. Mary’s since 1968.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Loretto Church on the St. Mary’s campus. Burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Friends may call at the St. Mary’s Convent Parlors where a wake will be observed at 7 p.m. today.
