Verna G. Dorn

May 3, 1915 - June 22, 2006

Verna G. Dorn, 91, of South Bend, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2006, at 12:15 a.m. in St. Paul's Retirement Center.

Verna was born on May 3, 1915, in South Bend, to Michal and Anna (Wroblewski) Krawczyk. Her parents, four brothers, Sylvester, Lucian, Walter and Clement; and three sisters, Helen Pawlick, Marie Jurgonski, and Frances Kaminski have all preceded her in death.

On May 20, 1939, she married Joseph Dorn in St. Adalberts Catholic Church. Joseph passed in 1946.

She is survived by a daughter, Joan (Harold E. Jr.) Harlan of Mishawaka; a son, Daniel (Priscilla) Dorn of Evanston, Ind.; five grandchildren, Michael Harlan, Eric Dorn, Lorie Murphy, Patrick Harlan and Jennifer Harlan; thirteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Loretta Jozwiak of South Bend; and a brother, Chester "Chet" (Florence) Krawczyk of South Bend.

Verna was a member of St. Adalberts Catholic Church.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 25, 2006, from 2 to 6 p.m. in ST JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 South Mayflower Road, South Bend, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, June 26, 2006, at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Funeral Home. Burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Reflection Fund at St. Paul's Retirement Center-Verna Dorn.
