Dewitt Dornbrock, 44, Michigan City, died at 1:40 a.m. Monday (March 13, 2000) at St. Anthony Memorial Health Centers. The funeral is at 1 p.m. today at St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church, with Pastor Ronald Beltz officiating. Cremation has taken place. There is no visitation. Carlisle Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Mr. Dornbrock was born Dec. 9, 1955, in Michigan City to Donald Lee Dornbrock, who survives in Florida, and Corinne Ellen Rhinehart, who survives in Vancouver, Wash. Survivors also include one son, Dominick Dornbrock, Michigan City; one daughter, Catherine Dornbrock, Michigan City, a special friend, Theresa Walden, Michigan City; three brothers, Donald Dornbrock, Chicago, John Dornbrock, Michigan City, and Timothy Dornbrock, Vancouver; and three sisters, Corinne Klosinski, Michigan City, Debra Wheat, Vancouver, and Frances Swim, Chicago. Mr. Dornbrock was in the U.S. Marines from 1974 to 1985, serving in Vietnam. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church.
