Sister M. Eugenie D’Orbesson CSC

Sister M. Eugenie CSC, 77, who taught French at St. Mary’s College and Academy for 50 years, died Saturday afternoon in the convent. She had been in ill health for a number of years. She was born in Paris and became a member of the community more than 60 years ago. In 1921 she was honored by the French Academy which named her an officier of the academy for spreading of French culture.

Funeral services and burial will take place Monday morning at St. Mary’s.
