Clara A. Dlugosz, 84, of Phillipa Street, passed away at 7:50 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, in the Saint Joseph Care Center. She was born on Nov. 3, 1917, in South Bend, Ind., to Franciszek Drzewiecki and Maryjanna (Cwidak) Drzewiecki, who both preceded her in death.

On April 14, 1940, she married John A. Dlugosz. Clara is survived by her husband, John A. Dlugosz; a son, John D. (Helen) Dlugosz of Plano, Texas; two grandchildren, John M. Dlugosz of Allen, Texas, and Jennifer Surach of Rowlett, Texas; and by two great-grandchildren, Daniel and Patricia.

Clara was a homemaker, and belonged to St. Adalbert's Catholic Church and PNA #83. Friends and family may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road. A Rosary will be said at 4 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, in St. Adalbert's Catholic Church. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
