WALKERTON - Myrl Mae Dixon, 91, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2010, at 9:05 p.m. in Miller's Merry Manor. Myrl was born on May 20, 1918, in Jeffersonville, IN, to Arthur and Ethel Sweeney. She was a Walkerton area resident since 1949, coming from Scottsburg, IN. On November 4, 1939, in Jeffersonville, she married Ralph Conner Dixon, who preceded her in death on February 25, 2006. Mrs. Dixon had worked as a clerk at Jacob's Drug Store and was a member of the Walkerton Business Women's Association. Myrl is survived by her daughter, Myrlynn J. Bella of Walkerton; two grandchildren, Tonya Hansen and Stephen (Linda) Bella; eight great-grandchildren, Sayna, Londa, Sandra, Elizabeth, Stephanie, Anthony, Timothy and Andrew; and four great-great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 12, 2010, at 11 a.m. (EST) from the Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home, 408 Roosevelt Road, Walkerton, with Burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
