MISHAWAKA - Christina P. Dinges, 95, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away at 8:06 PM Friday, September 19, 2008, in Your Home Assisted Living. Mrs. Dinges retired from Memorial Hospital after 15 years of service as a dietician. She was born on September 10, 1913, in Grand Glaze, AR, to Courtney and Dessia V. Collom, and had lived most of her life in South Bend. She attended school in Bridgman, MI. On February 8, 1930, in South Bend, IN, she married Peter Dinges, who preceded her in death in 1964. Christina spent most of her retirement years working in her flower garden, baby sitting grandchildren, and visiting with family and friends who will miss her smile and friendship. Christina is survived by her son, James (Donna) Dinges of Granger; four grandchildren, Karey Welde of Mishawaka, Michele (Blaine) Beehler of Pomeroy, WA, Michael (Diana) Dinges of Greenwood, IN, and Brandy Dinges of Granger; and two great-grandchildren, Cayden Beehler of Pomeroy, WA, and Audrey Dinges of Indianapolis. Her daughter, Judith (Dan) Welde, preceded her in death in 2007, and a brother, Norville (Donna) Sparks, also preceded her in death.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, Sept. 26, at Highland Cemetery, South Bend, IN. Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, South Bend, and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements.
