Virginia E. Dillon, 86, of McKinley Highway, Osceola, Ind., passed away after an illness at 4:15 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 11, in the Rosewood Terrace Nursing Facility, Elkhart, Ind. Mrs. Dillon was born on Nov. 2, 1914, in Monon, Ind., as the daughter of the late Walter and Iona (Rotruck) Engle.

On July 19, 1961, in St. Ignace, Mich., as the former Virginia Reygaert, she married Phil S. Dillon Jr., who preceded her in death in 1976. She is survived by a son, Donald Reygaert of Osceola; four grandchildren, Debbie Stober of California, Donna Stevenson of California, Richard Reygaert of Florida and Donald Reygaert Jr. of Michigan; and by six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Dillon was employed by the former Uniroyal in Mishawaka, Ind., for 26 years and retired in 1970. She was a resident of Elkhart for the past 26 years. She was a graduate of Mishawaka High School, class of 1932, and was a member of Women of the Moose.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 West 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home, with Rev. Erv Mize officiating. A private burial will take place. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Dillon may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637-3437.
