MISHAWAKA - Evelyn Anna Dietzel, 87, died at 12:25 p.m. Monday in her home. She was born on July 17, 1922 in Murdo, South Dakota to the late, Charles and Mattie (Murphy) Myers. On May 18, 1945 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota she married Clarence E. Dietzel and he preceded her in death on May 14, 1991 in Mishawaka, IN. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Gwendolyn Dietzel and eight bothers and sisters. Evelyn was a manager for Jefferson Mobile Home Park in Mishawaka for over 28 years. She moved form South Dakota to Indiana in 1967. Evelyn enjoyed reading, writing letters and crocheting. Survivors include sons, Gary (Gretchen) Dietzel of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, Jerry (Susan) Dietzel of Mishawaka, Indiana and Todd (Anissa) Dietzel of South Bend, Indiana; daughter, Glenda (Michael) Jordan of Mishawaka, Indiana; six grandchildren, Gayle Exner, Joel Smith, Garrett Dietzel, Paige DeVreese, Sarah Dietzel and Tyler Dietzel; and seven great-grandchildren. A private family service has already been held. Elkhart Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements. There will be no visitation. Cremation will take place. Burial will be at a later date in Marion, Indiana. Memorials may be made to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, South Bend, Indiana.
