Sander J. DeVries

Sander J. DeVries, 88, of Victoria Court, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 12:15 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 11, on the birthday of his only child.

Sander was born on Aug. 13, 1910, in South Bend, Ind., to the late Fannie and Sander De-Vries.

Sander was married to Bernice Miller in South Bend on April 16, 1935. She survives.

He is also survived by a daughter, Sandra Jean Glenton of Gainesville, Ga.; and three grandchildren, Greg Glenton of Gainesville, Deborah Seager of Onsted, Mich., and Pamela Nix of Powder Springs, Ga.; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn Cook of South Bend and Frances Wheeler of Texas; and by a brother, William DeVries of Wetumpka, Ala.

Sander was employed as a technician with A T & T for 40 years, retiring in September 1975. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church of South Bend.

There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
