SOUTH BEND - Robert W. De Vries, 55, of East Colfax Avenue, formerly of Holland, Mich., died Friday in his home after an illness. Mr. De Vries was employed by Accuride of South Bend. He was born Aug. 22, 1940, in Holland.
He married Carol De Vries. She survives with a son, Robert W. of Jersey City, N.J.; three daughters, Sherrie Nienhuis of Holland, Lisa Peters of Zeeland, Mich., and Brenda Carpenter of Valdese, N.C.; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and his parents, Gordon and Elsie De Vries of Zeeland. He was a member of Clay United Methodist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Calvin Christian Reformed Church, Holland. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery, Holland. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. in Northwood Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Home, 295 Douglas Ave., Holland. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
