Stanley A. Derucki, 85, of South
Bend, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2002, in Holy Cross
Care and Rehabilitation Center, South Bend. Mr. Derucki was born
on January 21, 1917, in South Bend, to the late John and Cecelia
(Kubacki) Derucki.
On October 27, 1951, in South Bend, he
married Evelyn J. Rogers, who preceded him in death on September
25, 1992. Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in
death by a sister, Florence Watkins. Mr. Derucki is
survived by four sisters, Irene Kazmierczak, Dolores
Derucki and Donna Jackson, all of South Bend, and Rita M. Bicek
of Michigan City, Indiana; two brothers, Raymond (Rita Joan) of
South Bend and John (Linda) Derucki of Fremont, Ohio; a
brother-in-law, Joseph Rogers of South Bend, and several
nieces and nephews.
Mr. Derucki worked as a Tool & Die
Designer for Ecko of Illinois. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII
and a parishioner and usher at Holy Cross Catholic Church of
South Bend.
Visitation will be from 2-8 PM, Thursday,
February 21, 2002, in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr.,
where a 7 PM Parish Rosary will be recited. Funeral Services will
be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, February 22, 2002 in the Kaniewski
Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow in Highland Cemetery, South
Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the
donor's choice.
