Elsie Mae Derbin

MISHAWAKA – The body of Mrs. Elsie Mae Derbin, 43, f 2315 Homewod Avenue, for whom crews had been searching for since April 22nd, was recovered from the St,. Joseph River this morning. She had been missing from her home since April 22nd, the date on which police found her autpo parked by the Bittersweet Road Bridge. She left a note in her home outlining her suicide intentions. She was born in Goshen, and moved to Mishawaka after her marriage to Charles Derbin. Surviving are her husband; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Currier; two daughters, Carol Derbin and Linda Sue Derbin, both at home; two sons, Gary Derbin and Mark Alan Derbin; a sister, Marian Currier of Los Angeles; and two brothers, Harvey Currier of Strugis, Mich. and George Currier of Elkhart.

 

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Bent and Sprague Funeral Chapel and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
