Ruby E. Deranek

January 28, 1915 – May 23, 1984

Ruby E. Deranek, 69, of 832 S 26^th St., died at 2:30pm Wednesday in St Joseph’s Medical Center.

Born on January 28, 1915, in Sulphur Springs TX, she lived in the South Bend area most of her life.  On February 16, 1931, in South Bend, she married Edmund M. Deranek, who died in 1971.  Surviving are four daughters, Peggy Korlowicz, Charlene Wilson and Joan Drudge, all of South Bend and Barbara Wilson of Houston TX; five sons, Albert and Thomas, both of South Bend, Ronald of Concord MI and Eugene of Chino CA; 21 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two sisters, Ida Price and Dora Price, both of Louisville KY; a half sister, May Allen of South Bend and two half brothers, Harvey Patterson of Gary IN and Carl Patterson of South Bend

Services will be at 11am Saturday in Hollis-Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue and burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm Friday in the funeral home.
