George M. DeRaeve

August 7, 1902 – December 2, 1985

George M. DeRaeve, 83, of 1118 S. Spring St., died at 1pm Monday in St Joseph Hospital after an illness.  Mr. DeRaeve retired from Uniroyal Inc. in 1964 after 31 years of service.

He was born August 7, 1902, in Ghent, Belgium, and spent most of his life in Mishawaka.  On July 13, 1935, he married Martha Rutkowski in St Joseph’s Catholic Church.  She survives with two daughter, Margaret Bock of Naples FL and Eldean DeMeulenaere o Milwaukee WI; two sons, Robert H. Rutkowski of Osceola and Irvin E. Rutkowski of Mishawaka; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Services will be at 10am Thursday in St Joseph’s Catholic Church.

Mishawaka Funeral Notes

DeRAEVE – Service for George M. DeRaeve, 83, of 1118 S. Spring St., who died Monday in St Joseph Hospital after an illness, will be at 10am Thursday in St Joseph’s Catholic Church.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm today in Hahn’s-DeVos Funeral Home, where a wake service will be held at 7:30pm.
