Louis DePriest, 78, was born on May 1, 1922, to the union of the late Ernest and May DePriest in Hickmont, Ky. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, William DePriest and Ashley DePriest; and by three sisters, Mattie Valentine, Dorothy DePriest and Maxine Driver.
In July 1956, in South Bend, Ind., Louis was united in holy matrimony to Willa Bea Williams, who preceded him in death on Sept. 24, 1997. For many years Louis worked as plaster/drywaller for several construction companies throughout Indiana.
He is survived by three sisters, Delores DePriest, Carnell DePriest of South Bend and Mary Alice Thomas of Chicago, Ill.; two brothers, Roosevelt DePriest of Indianapolis, Ind., and John DePriest of Evansville, Ind.; one daughter, Jeanette Curd of Milwaukee, Wis.; care-giver niece, Leona Page; three grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. DePriest will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15, in the Clark O'Neal Funeral Home, 1032 W. Washington Street, South Bend, with visitation one hour before services. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Funeral services entrusted to the Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home.
