Octogenarian is Taken in Death
Alonzo Delno Denslow, age 82, of 303 East Fourth street, Mishawaka, a lifelong resident of St. Joseph county, died in his country home on the Denslow road at 1:45 oclock this morning following a six weeks illness.
He was born in Mount Pleasant, March 7, 1846, the son of Henry and Sarah Patterson Cissne Denslow, pioneers of this vicinity. On Oct 24, 1872, he was married to Miss Sarah Myers, in this city. Her death occurred in 1906, and on May 14, 1914, he was married a second time, to Mrs. Henrietta Pulling Laidlaw, who survives. He is also survived by one daughter, Clara Denslow; two sons, Frank A. and Clarence D. Denslow, at home, and one stepson, Chester E. Laidlaw, of Mishawaka.
The body may be viewed in the country
residence until the time of the funeral which will be held there
at 2:30 oclock Thursday afternoon. The Rev. Clyde G.
Yoemans, of the First Methodist Episcopal church, of Mishawaka,
will officiate and burial will be in Bowman cemetery, South Bend.
He was a member of the St. Joseph
Valley grange.
