MISHAWAKA - Thomas William Dennig,
67, of Remington Court, Mishawaka, Ind., died after a long
illness at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, in his residence. Mr.
Dennig was born on Jan. 24, 1930, in Mishawaka, and was a
lifelong area resident. He was a 1947 graduate of South Bend
Central Catholic, and attended George Washington University in
Washington, D.C., while working for the Federal Bureau of
Investigations (FBI).
On Sept. 4, 1950, in South Bend, he married
Dolores Waechter, who preceded him in death on March 17,
1995. A sister, Dee Vanderbosch, also preceded him in
death. Mr. Dennig was a former president of Sunnyside Beverage,
Inc., of South Bend, and was also the former president of Four D
Beverage in Dowagiac, Mich. He was a member of BDI (Beer
Distributors of Indiana) and was a past president of that
organization.
Mr. Dennig is survived by three sons,
Patrick William Dennig and Timothy James Dennig, both of Granger,
Ind., and Thomas Herbert Dennig of Orlando, Fla.; a daughter,
Joan Lynn Dennig of Mishawaka; seven grandchildren, Jessica Leigh
Dennig, Jamie Dennig, Riley Patrick Dennig, Sean Michael Dennig,
Thomas Patrick Dennig, Joseph Sweeney Dennig and Kevin Stewart
Dennig; a sister, Mary Harrises of Manchester, N.H.; and
by a brother, Donald Dennig of South Bend.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Monday in
the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Notre Dame, with Rev. Paul
Doyle, C.S.C., officiating. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. on
Sunday at the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. Eighth Street, Mishawaka.
Wake prayers will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral
home. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the
Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend,
IN 46637.
