MISHAWAKA - Mary DeMeyer, 78, of
Borley Avenue, died at 8 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Hospital after
an illness. Mrs. DeMeyer was a former crossing guard for School
City of Mishawaka at Battell School. She was born Feb. 25, 1916,
in Mishawaka, and was a lifelong area resident.
In Mishawaka, as Mary Kedik, she
married Raymond R. DeMeyer. He died last Feb. 28. She is survived
by two daughters, Rosetta Rose and Rozella Bentley,
both of Mishawaka; two sons, Robert R. and Raymond R. Jr., both
of Mishawaka; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a
step-great-grandchild; three sisters, Margaret Asper and
Anna Howland, both of Mishawaka, and Dorothy Stanley
of Montrose, Calif.; and three brothers, Mike Kedik and George
Kedik, both of Mishawaka, and John of South Bend. She was a
member of St. Monica's Catholic Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Hahn
Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may
call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
