SOUTH BEND - Rose De Meulenaere, 85, of South Kaley Street, South Bend, Ind., died at noon on Tuesday, Feb. 18, in the home of her daughter, Darlene De Meulenaere, with whom she resided. She was born Aug. 13, 1911, in Milwaukee, Wis., and lived in this area most of her life.

On Aug. 3, 1929, in South Bend, as Rose Wisniewski, she married August De Meulenaere, who preceded her in death on July 23, 1967. She is survived by two daughters, Rosemarie (Richard) Garis and Darlene De Meulenaere, both of South Bend; four grandchildren, Janet Marie Womack, John P. Garis, James R. Garis and Jamie Rose Hahn; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, George Wisniewski of South Bend.

Services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 4 p.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
