July 2, 1913 - March 21, 2010 BLOOMFIELD HILLS - Sister Geraldine Demeter, 96, passed away at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 21, 2010, in the Mother House at Bloomfield Hills. Sister Geraldine was born July 2, 1913, in South Bend, to the late Stephen and Julia (Denes) Demeter. She was preceded in death by her sister, Yolanda Demeter. She is survived by her brother, Louis (Dorothy) Demeter of South Bend; six nephews, David, Denis, Darryl, Donald, Dominic and Daniel Demeter; and two nieces, Yolanda McGrady and Cindy Prater. Sister Geraldine taught at Our Lady of Hungary, Corpus Christi and St. Mary's of the Assumption parishes. Sister Geraldine was a servant of our Lord for 76 years. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. today, March 24, 2010, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2010, in Corpus Christi Catholic Church, where friends and family may gather one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Garden.
