Francisco G. DeLeon

Francisco G. DeLeon, 77, of W. Ford Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 3:45 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8, in his residence. He was born on Oct. 4, 1920, in Mexico, and lived here since 1956, coming from Texas. He retired in 1982 from Martin Blad Farms. He also worked part time for St. Joseph's Medical Center.

 

He was married on July 14, 1962, in South Bend, to Guadalupe Rodriguez, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Cristina DeLeon of South Bend; four sons, Jose DeLeon of Mishawaka, Ind., Juan DeLeon, Jesus DeLeon and Arturo DeLeon, all of South Bend; a grandson, John Stephen DeLeon; two granddaughters, Tatum DeLeon and Cherokee DeLeon; a sister, Paula Reyes of Weslaco, Texas; and by two half brothers, Patricio Briones and Francisco Briones, both of Weslaco. Mr. DeLeon was preceded in death by two half brothers, Martin Briones and Lioncelio Briones.

 

Mr. DeLeon was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church, the Ushers Club at St. Stephen Church and L.U.L.A.C.

 

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in St. Stephen Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
