Leo Deka, Aged 62, of 529 N. Blaine
Avenue, died in St. Joseph Hospital at 7:30 p.m. Saturday after
an illness of five weeks. Mr. Deka was born in South Bend March
28, 1885, and had lived here all his life. He is survived by the
widow, Stella, two sons, Leo Jr., and Casimir; a daughter,
Loretta: three brothers, Anthony, Stanley, and Walter; four
sisters, Mrs Martha Niedzielski, Mrs. Pearl Hinschoot, Mrs. Mary
Bartkowjak, and Mrs. Lottie Peterson, and three grandchildren,
all of South Bend. The body has been taken to the Kaniewaki
Funeral Home. Funeral arangements are incomplete.
Funeral Notes: South Bend Tribune;
Last rites for Leo Deka, of 529 N. Blaine Avenue, who died
Saturday night, will be held at 10 a.m. in St. Hedwige's Catholic
Church. Rev. Michael Gadacz, pastor of Holy Family Church, of Gary,
Ind., will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
