NILES -- Anna Deka, 88, of Shady Shores Drive, died Wednesday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend.  Survivors include three daughters, Roseann Taelman of South Bend, Carol Mendenhall of Memphis, Tenn., and Christine Curran of Phoenix, Ariz.; a son, Donald D. of Lawrenceville, Ga.; and two sisters, Rose Unger of South Bend and Margaret Post of California.  Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Kaniewsi Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Anna Deka, 88, of Niles, MI, passed away at 11:47 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2001 in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, IN.  On June 5, 1935, in South Bend, IN, as Anna Farkas, she married Leo J. Deka, who preceded her in death on August 10, 1995.  Surviving are three daughters, Rose Taelman of South Bend, IN, Carol Mendenhall of Memphis, TN, Christine Curran of Phoenix, AZ, a son, Donald D. Deka of Lawrenceville, GA, 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Rose Unger of South Bend, IN and Margaret Post of CA.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. C.S.T., Saturday, April 28, 2001, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN.  Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, South Bend, IN.  Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. C.S.T. in the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
