John J. Deitch

John J. Deitch, age 80, of 839 East Fourth Street, died Tuesday evening at 10:30 o’clock after an illness of one day, which was caused by a stroke of paralysis.

He was born in Canada June 9, 1848, and came to Mishawaka 25 years ago.

He was married 23 years ago to Catherine Eager, who survives.

Besides his widow, he leaves a son and a daughter. William Deitch and Mrs. Walter Ungrey, both of this city, and one sister, Mrs. Emma Lankin of Windsor, Canada.

The body may be viewed at the residence Thursday. Funeral services will be home Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. The Rev. J.A. Burnett, D.D., of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Burial will be in city cemetery
