GRANGER - Julius DeGraeve, 90, of Fairfield Lane, formerly of Kosciuszko Street, South Bend, died at 7 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mr. DeGraeve retired in 1967 from Oliver Corp. He was born Sept. 14, 1905, in South Bend.
On Dec. 1, 1935, in South Bend, he married Rose Ann Szerencse. She died Jan. 4, 1975. He is survived by three daughters, Barbara DeGraeve of Bedford, Texas, Patricia Williamson of Glen Ellyn, Ill., and Carol Wenzel of Granger; a son, Richard of Sebastian, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Malvina DeWispelaere of South Bend; and a twin brother, Alphonse of Mishawaka. He was a member of St. Adalbert's Catholic Church and Harvest House, and South Bend Eagles.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial will in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in Hickey Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road, where rosary will be said at 5 p.m.
