Irma DeBruycker

Word has been recieved here of the death in Conrad, Mont., of Irma DeBruycker, a former Mishawka resident and prominent local amateur astronomer. She was 79 and had been ill for two months. Miss DeBruycker was born in Belgium on Dec. 18, 1900, and moved here in 1919. For many years she operated a small candy store at 1023 S. Union, and moved to Conrad two months ago.

Surviving are a brother, Achiel of Conrad, and four nephews. Cremation was conducted in Conrad. Miss DeBruycker was a member of the Bethel College Astronomy Club and had lectured at the college on a number of occasions. Donations may be made to the club in her name.
