SOUTH BEND - Mr. Lee Andrew Day, 62, who resided on
Southview Lane, South Bend, Indiana, passed away at 8:35 a.m. on
Saturday, Oct. 25 in the Sanctuary of St. Joseph's, South Bend,
Indiana. Lee was born to the union of John and Henrietta (Hall)
Day in Greenwood, Mississippi on May 23, 1946. Coming from
Greenwood, Mississippi, in 1965, he moved to South Bend. Lee
worked as a welder for 22 years before retiring. He attended
Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church and he loved fishing and
bring around family. Lee was preceded in death by four brothers,
George, James, Percy and Curtis Day; and two sisters, Johnnie Edwards
and Geraldine Turner. He leaves to mourn his memory, his
loving wife, Bobbi Day; three sons, Devin and Anthony Day, all of
South Bend and Reginald Day of Greenwood, Mississippi; three
stepchildren, Carmen Wigfall, Craig (Sherri) Lovings
and Deanna Lovings; two sisters, Henrene Love and Gertrude
Love, all of South Bend; seven nieces and two nephews; a special
great niece, Ta'kira Grove and a special step grandson,
Isaiah "Rabbit" Neal, along with a host of other
relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Lee Andrew Day will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 1, in Alford's Mortuary. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the chapel. Arrangements have been entrusted with Alford's Mortuary.
