Ruth H. Davis, 80, of Ebeling Drive, South Bend, Ind., passed away on Friday, Nov. 14, in Our Lady of Peace Hospital, South Bend. Ruth was born Oct. 31, 1923, to Harvey and Irene (Krenzien) Rothermel in Maroa, Ill. They preceded her in death.

On Feb. 8, 1947, in South Bend, she married Robert R. Davis Sr. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Robert R. Davis Jr.; brother, Donald "Bud" Rothermel; and by a sister, Helen Miney. Ruth is survived by her sons, Richard A. Davis of South Bend, Tim D. (Sue) Davis of Mishawaka, Ind., and James L. Davis, Chicago, Ill.; daughters, Dorothy M. (John) Payne of Garrett Park, Md., Sandy G. Monahon of South Bend and Susan J. Davis of Logansport, Ind.; her brothers, Richard A. Rothermel of Maryland and Frank Rothermel of Winterhaven, Fla.; and by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at noon today, Nov. 19, in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, Ind., with visitation two hours prior.

Ruth was a graduate of Stevensville High School in Michigan. She was a homemaker and wonderful mother and homemaker. Ruth believed in God and enjoyed sharing this with her children. She would always say "Keep your heart onto the Lord." Ruth enjoyed cooking for her friends and children in her neighborhood. She really enjoyed the holidays and singing Christmas Carols. Ruth will be sadly missed.
