Merlyn Lee Davis

Jan. 28, 1980 - April 26, 1999

Merlyn Lee Davis, 19, who resided on Poland Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 9:37 p.m. on Monday, April 26, at Memorial Hospital.

He was born to the union of Lawrence Davis and Diane Nailon on Jan. 28, 1980 in South Bend. He was a student at Washington High School and a member of Faith Apostolic Church.

Merlyn leaves to mourn his loss, his parents, Diane Nailon; his father, Lawrence Davis; his step-father, Dewayne Bush; a sister, Dianeka Davis; two brothers, Christopher Hogan and Deangelo Cashmir Davis; maternal grandfather, Paul Hawkins; paternal grandparents, Willie Mae Miller and Lawrence Davis; paternal great-grandmother, Lucille Davis, all of South Bend; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by a maternal grandmother and grandfather, Dorothy Mae Hawkins and Merlyn Nailon.

Funeral services for Merlyn will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at Alford's Mortuary, where friends may call one hour before the service. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery.

Alford's Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements.
