OSCEOLA - Joan R. Davis, 70, of Osceola, passed away at 10:57 am, Tuesday, December 23, 2008 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. Joan was born on April 11, 1938 in Plymouth, IN to the late John and Bessie (Smith) Shireman. On October 20, 1956, she married George A. Davis. She will be remembered as a great cook and gardener and for her love of her grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband, George of Osceola, two daughters, Janie (Kenny) Yike of South Bend, Sally (John) Perry of Mishawaka, two sons, David (Tammy) Davis of Osceola, Mark (Donna Marshall) Davis of Mishawaka; 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Mary Mitchell of Ft. Myers, FL, Pat Hayden of Rochester, IN, and Jean Ketcham of Orland, IN and two brothers, Donald (Nancy) Shireman of Arizona and Charles "Skip" Shireman of Rochester, IN.
