NORTH LIBERTY - Carl J. Davis, 77, of North Liberty, passed away
at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday, May 4th in Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
Mr. Davis was born on November 11, 1932, in Bay, AR, and resided
in the area since 1969 coming from California. He is survived by
a daughter, Cheryl A. (Terry) Davis-Suski of North Liberty. Also
surviving are four sons, Michael W. (Tami) Davis of Nappanee, IN,
Timothy L. (Diana) Davis of North Liberty, Carl "Gene"
(Jill) Davis of North Liberty and Jonathon J. Davis of Michigan.
A brother, Robert Clayton Davis of Lafayette, IN. Also, 11
grandchildren and four great grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer B. and Mary Ora
(Doty) Davis. Also by three brothers, Charles W. Davis, James D.
Davis and Donald R. Davis. Mr. Davis was a Veteran of the US Navy
serving during the Korean Conflict. He was proud of his military
service. His hobbies were golfing, oil painting, gardening and
cooking. He will be dearly missed by his loving family, his
church family and all who had the opportunity to know him. He was
a member of the Teegarden United Methodist Church, American
Legion Post 189 in Walkerton and the VFW Post 1954 in North
Liberty. Visitation hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May
7th in HANLEY & SONS FUNERAL HOME "Walkerton
Chapel" located at 1216 Roosevelt Road, Walkerton. Funeral
services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday May 8th in the funeral
home with Rev. Timothy Davis and Rev. David Lambdin officiating.
The North Liberty VFW Post 1954 will conduct the Military Service
with the presentation of the flag. The HANLEY & SONS
FUNERAL HOME "Walkerton Chapel" handled
arrangements and services and extend it deepest sympathy and
heartfelt prayers to the Davis Family.
