John Richard Davidson

October 17, 1874 – August 25, 1951

John Richard Davidson, 133 South Wellington Street, died at 8:30pm Saturday in his residence after a week’s illness.

He was born in Saulsbury TN, October 17, 1874, and came to South Bend in 1938 from Geridge AR.  He was married in Conway AR to Susie Wiley, who survives.  Surviving besides his widow are six children, Annie, Mrs. Mabel Alford and Grady L, South Bend; Mrs. Naomi Redding, Brooklyn NY; Mrs. Cora Asher, Chicago and Cecil, Los Angeles CA; a sister, Mrs. Dora Bunting, Conway; five half brothers, Samuel Bunting, St Louis MO; Theola, Harrison B. Earley and Israel, Conway; and two half sisters, Mrs. Samella Watson and Mrs Isabella Meeks, Conway.  The body is in the Haynes Funeral Home.
