May 2, 1924 - June 14, 2002

BEAUFORT, SC — Everett Eugene Daniels Sr., 78, widower of Doris Vivian Peedin Daniels, died Friday, June 14, in Beaufort Memorial Hospital.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 29, in the Port Royal United Methodist Church, Port Royal, S.C.

Mr. Daniels was born May 2, 1924, in Kannapolis, N.C., to the late Eddie Allen Daniels Sr. and Ruth Elizabeth Shinn Daniels.

He served as the vice president of manufacturing for Wells Aluminum Corporation, and was the plant manager of the Belton, S.C., office before retiring. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II. He was an alumnus of Elon College and was of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by a son, Gene Daniels of Cincinnati, Ohio; two daughters, Vicky Rydzynski of South Bend, Ind., and Sandra Gregory of Beaufort; a brother, Johnny Daniels of Greensboro, N.C.; two sisters, Evelyn Michaels of Burlington, N.C., and Shirley Moser of Fayetteville, N.C.; and by five grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 1941 Savage Road, Suite 200A, Charleston, SC 29407.

The Anderson Funeral Home, Beaufort, is in charge of arrangements.
