Harold F. ''Butch'' Czischke, 80, of South Bend, Ind., passed away at 12:57 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, in his residence. Mr. Czischke was born on July 7, 1918, in Detroit, Mich. He retired in July of 1972 from the Bendix Corporation.

On June 13, 1941, in Detroit, he married Elizabeth M. Muszynski, who died on Aug. 7, 1990. He is survived by two daughters, Julie Buck of South Bend and Christine Koshock of Mishawaka, Ind.; two sons, Harold Cischke of Indianapolis, Ind. and Daniel Cischke of South Bend; six grandsons; five great-grandchildren; and by a brother, Robert Cischke of Detroit. Mr. Czischke was a member of Holy Family Parish and a World War II Army Veteran.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home, where a parish Rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Light Hospice, 300 N.
