SOUTH BEND - Margaret "Peggie" Cunnagin, 82, of Madeira
Beach, FL, formerly of South Bend, passed away Monday, February
15, 2010 in the Woodside Hospice in Pinellas Park, Florida.
Peggie was born November 22, 1927, in North Liberty, IN, to
Gerald and Chloe (Evers) Cowger. She was preceded in death by her
husband Clyde Cunnagin and her parents. Surviving are sister Mary
Jo Tompos of South Bend; a daughter Debbie Holdaway of South
Bend; step-daughter Saundra (Leonard) Sixt of Tampa, Florida;
granddaughter Alexandria Holdaway; and many nieces and nephews.
Peggie graduated from Central High School in 1946, where she
belonged to the Spur Club, and Drama Club. She was a protégé of
James L. Cassaday, who sent her to the Drama Workshop at
Northwestern University her senior year. Margaret was a model at
Patricia Stevens Modeling Agency in Chicago. She was also a life
master of the American Contract Bridge League. Funeral services
will be celebrated at 11:00 am Saturday, February 20, 2010 in the
Zahoran Funeral Home 1826 S. Kemble Avenue, South Bend, Indiana.
Family and friends may call from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday in the
